In January 2012, Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), the research and development arm of Disney, responsible for the creation, design, and construction of Disney theme parks and attractions worldwide was initially founded by Walt Disney to oversee the production of Disneyland.

WDI engaged me as a “China Expert”, flew me to Burbank, Los Angeles to give a speech on the uniqueness of producing in the Asia marketplace, and for a ‘brain trust’ of concept planning, suggestions, ideas and practical issues regarding the forthcoming Shanghai Walt Disney Theater, the Retail, Dining and Entertainment District Theater within Shanghai Disneyland which opened in June 2016.

Beyond this, due to legalities of our Non-Disclosure Agreement, I can’t reveal the details and scope of my services for Shanghai Disneyland.

At that time, most of the images below of Shanghai Disneyland were subject to this same confidentially, but have since been commonly released to the public.
