A Little Bit of Broadway
The Queensland Marionette Theatre

A Little Bit of Broadway opened at the 500 seat Twelfth Night Theatre, on Cintra Rd in Bowen Hills, Brisbane, on September 8, 1981 and ran until the 19th, performed in repertory with Puppets on Parade as part of the Warana Festival.

Produced by Phillip Edmiston’s Queensland Marionette Theatre, this was a musical revue of Broadway standards featuring about 20 marionette puppets characters with their own costume and wig designs, famously starring a marionette version of Liza Minnelli, directed by Phillip Edmiston, plus several tonnes of scenery designed by James Ridewood. Puppetry by Phillip EdmistonJohn Bayley and Penny Everingham; Stage Managed by Toby Simkin. Props by Paul Parkinson.
